Accessibility is an interdepartmental priority at CSU Global. The Institutional Accessibility Committee (IAC) is responsible for assessing, sustaining, and advancing accessibility at all tiers of CSU Global.
Purpose
CSU Global is committed to ensuring that students and staff of all abilities are fully able to engage in their online education and work environment respectively. As part of this commitment, the IAC serves as an accountability checkpoint to make sure CSU Global maintains compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. IAC approves university-wide accessibility standards which impact all university content, platforms, and materials. This includes the university website, catalog, learning management system, library, course materials, facilities, as well as other impacted areas as they arise.
Roles & Resposibilities
The IAC’s role is to evaluate instructional, technological, and physical accessibility to all students and staff at CSU Global. In addition to evaluating, the IAC approves recommended solutions for accessibility issues.
The IAC’s Responsibilities include:
- Approve Accessibility Standards and policies that guide the development of all CSU Global online content including the university website, catalog, learning management system (LMS), library, course materials, and other impacted areas as they arise.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing accessibility standards, emerging regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Propose standards and policy revisions to Governance Council as appropriate.
- Ensure that CSU Global maintains compliance and continues to provide exceptional student support.
